What we collect when you book a table, why we need it, and what we do with it.

Adam's Kitchen is a family-run restaurant in Sneem, Co. Kerry. This page explains, in plain English, what personal information we collect through this website, why we collect it, and what rights you have over it. We are the data controller for that information.
Our reservation form asks for your name, party size, email address, phone number, and your preferred date and time. There is also an optional box for special requests and allergies.
We use this only to handle your booking — to confirm your table, to contact you if something changes, and to prepare for your visit. The legal basis is that we need it to take steps at your request before providing you with a service.
If you tell us about an allergy or dietary requirement, that is health information, and we treat it with extra care. We use it solely to serve you safely, we share it only with the kitchen and floor staff who need it, and we ask that you tell us what we need to know to keep you safe and no more.
If you use the "Call Adam's Kitchen" button on this site, we record that a call button was tapped, which page it was tapped on, the time, and your browser type. We do not record your phone number and we cannot identify you from this. It simply tells us how many people are choosing to phone us rather than fill in the form.
The reservation form has an optional tick box asking whether we may email you once after your visit to ask how it went. This is entirely your choice, and leaving it unticked will never affect your booking.
If you do tick it, we send you a single email a couple of hours after your visit with a one-to-five star rating. If you rate us highly we will invite you to leave a Google review, which is completely up to you. If you rate us poorly we will use it to put things right and may contact you about it. The legal basis is your consent, and you can withdraw it at any time by replying to that email or contacting us.
This site sets no advertising or tracking cookies, and there is no cookie banner because there is nothing to consent to. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, and the typefaces on this site are loaded from Google Fonts, which means Google receives your IP address in order to serve them. If we enable visitor statistics in future we will use a privacy-focused, cookieless service that counts visits without profiling individuals.
We do not sell your personal information, and we never will. We share it only with the services that make the booking process work:
Some of these providers are based outside the European Economic Area. Where that is the case, transfers are covered by the European Commission's standard contractual clauses or an equivalent safeguard.
If you ask us to delete your information sooner, we will, unless we are legally required to keep it.
Under the General Data Protection Regulation you have the right to ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, to correct it if it is wrong, to have it deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive it in a portable format. Where we rely on your consent, you may withdraw it at any time.
To exercise any of these rights, email adamskitchensneem@gmail.com or phone us. We will respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you may complain to the Irish Data Protection Commission at dataprotection.ie.
If we change how we handle personal information we will update this page and change the date at the top. Please check back occasionally.
